Lolina? Cardiomyocyte  Selective  Medium  Growth  Supplement  (CSGS)  is  a  medium  supplement designed for the selective growth of cardiomyocyte cells in vitro. It is a sterile, concentrated (50X)  solution  which  contains  growth  factors,  hormones,  and  proteins.  The  supplement  is formulated   (quantitatively   and   qualitatively)   to   provide   an   optimally   balanced   growth environment that promotes the growth of cardiomyocytes, but not other cell types. CSGS is designed as an additive for Cardiomyocyte Selective Medium and should be used in conjunction with that medium.

Prepare for use

1.   Thaw the CSGS at room temperature. Gently tilt the tube several times during thawing to help the contents dissolve. Make sure the CSGS is completely dissolved before adding it to the basal medium.

2.   Decontaminate the external surfaces of the medium bottle and medium supplement tubes with 70% ethanol and transfer them to a sterile field.

3.   Remove the cap, being careful not to touch the interior threads with fingers. Add the 50X CSGS into the basal medium using sterile techniques and mix well. The reconstituted medium is now ready for use.

NOTE: Store the complete medium in the dark at 4°C, protecting from light. We recommend warming the medium at room temperature prior to use.

Caution: If handled improperly, some components of the medium may present a health hazard. Take appropriate precautions when handling it, including the wearing of protective clothing and eyewear. Dispose of properly.
